First time I'd ever been here, clean store and very helpful and friendly staff. Even carried the wines out for us to the car! Top service.
Reasonably large wine warehouse with a good selection of wine and various other drinks.It's large enough to have a comprehensive selection of wines, whilst keeping a relatively small footprint. Price is usually quite reasonable, especially if you buy with the "pick 6" offer or in cases.There's parking available right outside, which usually isn't full.
Although the wine we purchased was good the service was NOT. We asked about a discount after watching a tv programme which featured Majestic Wine offering a customer a 60% discount on only 1 bottle of wine, when we were buying 8. When we enquired about this the staff laughed in our face and implied we were lying, so we will NOT be using Majestic Wine ever again, after they made me and my partner highly embarrassed and feeling very annoyed. NOT a good experience i am afraid.
Always friendly and helpful with great recommendations. Their wine tasting evenings are a great way to discover new wine. I've even found white wine I like!
Went in to York store to trial red/white/rose/bubbles for our wedding. Staff were fantastic and helped us get the wine perfect for our special day. Took advantage of the click and collect from Calais - fantastic service, all ready when we arrived. Great idea, great service!
