Absolutely amazing. Got to be the best Chinese around York. Would recommend in a heartbeat.
The food was good other than the buns which I'm sure they reheated since it took 1 hour for them to bring to us. The duck was also full of bones and no meat =( the service was awful but the noodles were good.
We had a wonderful dinner at the Regency. To top it all up we were taken care if this wonderful person called Kingsley. He was a true gentleman man and I recommend you guys to ask him what to eat cos I think the menu is huuuuge. Kingsley was a huge help and he guided us as to want to eat and even how to eat. He was so helpful. The food was great.I had a fried noodles with pork and veggies (his recommendation) the soup was also great. Anyways have a visit here and enjoy yourself and definitely try to get Kingsley he is so passionate about food. Thanks Regency
Love the food. Been here so many times when in town on business. So we picked this place for my husband's birthday a couple of weeks ago and yes, while the food was still fab, the service was awful. We we're seated in a side room, and spent most of the night hunting down staff to order things. Food was brought to the table, and the waitress had no idea what it was, so just plonked it down in the middle of the table and walked off. We then had to play 'guess the dish' and work out who it was for. We had to hunt staff down to order more drinks. We had to hunt staff down to ask for the bill. And then we sat there and waited for someone to come back. We waited so long that we joked about leaving through the fire exit and wondering how long it would take the staff to notice we'd gone. In the end we went to the counter to sort things out. I'd told everyone how great this place was, and then spent most of the night really regretting booking for a birthday. It was mid-week. We booked in advance - there were 11 of us. And they were not busy.In short, great food, and great for couples or a small group. But avoid if there's more than half a dozen of you. We'll be going somewhere else next time.
Went there with my partner without booking and was given a table asap. Great food and great service, they were quick to our table and very polite. Would go there again, worth the 5* rating at the price and service provided. Always willing to help.
