We love 1331 and go out of our way to visit when we are in York. It has a lovely atmosphere and the staff have always been friendly and helpful and we love their coffee. It makes a very refreshing change from the ubiquitous multi franchise coffee shops that lack character and originality. Keep up the good work ! Best wishes Gareth and Lisa
Really lovely place hidden away in York. Been here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner, staff were friendly and the food was lovely! The pictures attached are the goats cheese starter (so good it made me like goats cheese), the carvery roast and the fish and chips, would definitely recommend if in York and looking for some gastro-pub food for a reasonable price! 8/10
We were In york for a few days & came across this bustling eatery whilst wandering the intertwining lovely alleyways......checked out the menu!! All looked good so asked to book a table for later!! very busy but manager 're jigged & got us in at 6 food extremely tasty! waitress friendly & attentive she said that the table was ours for the evening non of this in eat & out to 're let the table you find in a lot of restaurants we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves highly recommended
Hired the cinema along with a few friends and we had a fantastic night. Great venue, great food and really helpful staff! Will definitely book again.
Excellent food and great staff. I had a terrific hot Cajun Chicken Salad (with bacon, mushrooms, peppers etc) followed by Bakewell Tart with almond and cherry ice cream. Delicious. I'll be back.EDIT: I went back. The chicken was under-cooked and I got food poisoning!
