So beautiful! I have been in summer and winter and love walking through the old cathedral ruins. The gardens are free and well worth checking out of you're nearby!
Lovely place to go and visit. Doesn't cost anything and so many beautiful parts of history to treasure. If you are lucky you may see some squirrels running around too of course pigeons are standard
If sombody will ask what is England for me, I would definitely say - York, and this place on photo. There's no other place like York in the world. It definitely should be in England visor's list.
These where beautiful! I would love to actually see some tasteful signage/ plaque to give information on the site. We where lucky enough to meet a local who shared a lot of history with us!
Whatever the season, the gardens are always amazing to have a walk through. Surrounded by history, you can enjoy the spring flowers, the summer's sun, the autumn colours and the magical lights of Christmas. Let's not forget the squirrels and the pigeons! Bring some seeds and nuts and will be surrounded by them. So close to the city centre and yet so quiet.
